Professional & Compliant Public Sector Procurement

Education Procurement Sector Centre of Excellence

Who We Are

The Education Procurement Service (EPS) is the Department of Education and Youth (DEY) sector sourcing hub, delivering professional, compliant procurement services across the education system. As a shared service, EPS supports the DEY, its agencies, the school’s sector, Education and Training Boards, and the Higher Education Sector.

EPS is one of the four sector specific procurement functions in Ireland—Education, Health, Defence, and Local Government—working in partnership with the Office of Government Procurement (OGP) under the national procurement model. Together, these functions contribute to the Government’s wider Public Service Reform agenda by centralising procurement expertise and driving value for the public sector.

With a specialised team dedicated to supporting the diverse needs of educational institutions, EPS leads procurement competitions for common goods and services and represents the sector in OGPled frameworks. Through a collaborative and datadriven approach, EPS helps deliver transparency, value for money, and efficiency across the education procurement landscape.
